I am a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant, specializing in assisting people with Estate Planning documents. I am not an attorney; I can only provide self-help services at your specific direction.
A Legal Document Assistant used to be known as an “Independent Paralegal.” However, in the year 2000, the State of California created a new category of legal service providers called Legal Document Assistants. Paralegals working independently (now called Legal Document Assistants) are authorized under California law to prepare legal documents for consumers. A Legal Document Assistant must be registered and bonded, and they must also be a fully-trained and certified Paralegal. Documents prepared by a Legal Document Assistant are just as legally valid and binding as documents prepared by an attorney.
After working as a Paralegal for an estate planning attorney for seven years, I realized that estate planning attorneys charge too much, and do-it-yourself websites can be overwhelming and confusing to people who are not familiar with this field of law.
My mission is to help people who are looking for an affordable and straightforward alternative to traditional legal services. I do not dispense legal advice or practice law. Instead, I guide people through confusing legal documents and make the process easy for them. I pride myself in giving intelligent, attorney-approved published factual information to my customers, while providing excellent customer service.
